Splice Machine, Inc. (“Splice Machine”) respects your right to privacy. This policy summarizes what personally identifiable information we may collect, how we might use this information, and other important topics relating to your privacy.
What Information We Collect
The only personally identifiable information (such as name, title, company name, address, telephone number, or e-mail address) (“Personal Data”) that Splice Machine collects is any Personal Data that you voluntarily provide to us, for example, by completing an inquiry form through our website, by corresponding with us via e-mail, or by providing us or our third-party payment processor with credit card or other payment information. We also collect general information that cannot be used to identify you personally (“Anonymous Data”), such as the type of browser you use, the files you request, and the domain name and country from which you request information, and use this Anonymous Data to improve our website and better meet your needs. Please note that we do not intend to collect any Personal Data or other data from or about any individual under the age of 13 years.
How We Use Personally Identifiable Information
This website may contain links to other sites owned or operated by third parties. We do not control those third parties or their sites, nor do we endorse or otherwise accept responsibility for the content or privacy policies of those sites.
Some of our web pages may contain “cookies,” which are data that may be sent to your web browser and stored on your computer. Session cookies exist only during a particular browsing session; persistent cookies stay on your computer until they are deleted. Persistent cookies allow our server to “recognize” you when you visit our website in the future. You can delete cookies by following the instructions in your web browser, and most web browsers can be configured to reject cookies, or to notify you if a cookie is sent to you.
Social Media Features
Our website includes social media features and widgets (e.g., the button that allows you to follow Splice Machine on Twitter). Third-party companies created these features and widgets and provided them to us (such as Twitter, in our example), and your interactions with them are governed by those third parties’ privacy policies.
Advertising and Analytics
We Do Not Sell Your Personally Identifiable Information
Splice Machine does not share, sell, rent, or trade your personally identifiable information without your consent, except as set forth in this section.
We may provide our third-party contractors, advisors, and service partners, such as (for example) the companies we use for our email newsletters, with access to your personally identifiable information for them to use on our behalf in the course of providing services for us.
We use third-party services to support our sales and marketing efforts. One such service provider is LeadLander, which places a cookie on your browser and shares any contact information you submit to us with its other network partners and, in return, provides us with any contact information submitted to its other network partners when the visitor associated with that information through a cookie browses our website; the original source of the contact information is not disclosed. This allows us and other network partners to better focus and target our sales and marketing efforts to you and other potential customers. If you do not want to be recognized, you can delete the cookie or enable “Do Not Track” on your browser; according to LeadLander, cookies in browsers with “Do Not Track” enabled will expire within approximately forty-eight hours and, while you will still be identified individually in our own internal reports, your personal information will not be shared with other LeadLander network partners. To correct any errors in your information or request its removal from the LeadLander network, contact email@example.com with your request.
We reserve the right to share or transfer your information as part of any merger, acquisition of part or all of our business, financing, or similar corporate transaction. We may release your personally identifiable information without your consent if we believe it necessary as required by law or to comply with court order, subpoena, or similar requirements, or to enforce our agreements or policies, or to protect us or third parties against harm or illegal activities.
